William P. Foster, 79, of Belmont Avenue, South Bend, Ind., died in his home of natural causes on Tuesday, Jan. 7, 1997.
He was the former owner of Foster's Ben Franklin Store in River Park. Mr. Foster retired in 1983. He was a past president of the River Park Business Association for 10 years, and was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, LeVeta E. Foster of South Bend; a daughter-in-law, Michele A. Foster of South Bend; two grandsons, Bryan S. Foster and Bradley S. Foster of South Bend; and a sister, Louise Grenert of Plymouth, Ind.
There will be no visitation or funeral services. Forest G. Hay Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, or to the American Cancer Society.
