JOHN FOX DIES AT PLYMOUTH

 

Well Known St. Joseph County Resident Passes Away After Short Illness.

 

    John B. Fox, age 85, a well known resident of this county, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. M. Benz, near Plymouth, following a stroke of apoplexy which he suffered three weeks ago.  Mr. Fox's wife died about six years ago.

 

    The deceased is survived by four daughters and two sons.  The daughters are Lucinda Benz, near Plymouth; Magidine Bollenbacker of Bremen; Mrs. Mary Albert, of this city, and Mrs. B. Klein, of near Mishawaka.  The two sons are Solomon Fox, of Bremen, and Chris Fox, also of Bremen.  Four brothers and two sisters are also surviving.  The brothers are Peter Fox, of Ohio; Conrad Fox, of Argos, Ind.; Solomon Fox, of South Bend; and Samuel Fox, of Oklahoma.  The two sisters are Mrs. Mary Klein, of Silvertown, Ore., and Elizabeth Wagner, of Bremen.

 

    The body has been taken from the home of Mrs. Benz and removed to the home of a son, Chris Fox with whom the deceased had made his home for the past six years.  The funeral will be held at Woodland Reform church Saturday at 2 o'clock.  Rev. Kanzler will officiate.  Burial will be in the Woodland cemetery.

John Fox

 

John Fox, age 85, died at the home of his daughter Mrs. Daniel Bentz, near Wyatt, Indiana, July 30, following an illness of 23 days with paralysis.  He was born in Ashland county, Ohio, July 9, 1939, and had resided in this county since 1859, coming here from Ohio.  The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock in the Lutheran church, Woodland, Ind.  Burial will be in the Woodland cemetery.

John Fox's daughter Lucinda was married to Emanuel Bienz.
