Sara Louise Frame

Sara Louise Frame, 76, of Striped Maple Court, South Bend, Ind., died following an illness at 8:40 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 26, in St. Joseph Medical Center. Mrs. Frame was born on July 22, 1922, in Mishawaka, Ind., to Ernest and Ruth (Pecher) Jones, and was a lifetime area resident.

 

On Oct. 25, 1941, in Mishawaka, as Sara Louise Jones, she married Robert L. Frame, Sr., who preceded her in death on July 8, 1995. She was also preceded in death by her parents, four grandchildren, and by two brothers, Bill and Tom Jones. She is survived by three daughters, Cynthia L. (Jerry) Graff of South Lyons, Mich., Deborah A (Rick) Shoner of Niles, Mich., and Tama S. Frame of South Bend; three sons, William H. (Sally) Frame and Robert L. (Cindy) Frame, both of South Bend, and James P. (Betty) Frame, Sr., of Mishawaka; 13 grandchildren, J.P. Frame, Jr., Jeff Frame, Craig Graff, Kevin Graff, Kyle Graff, Adam F. Frame, Bobby Frame, III, Trevor M. Battles, Seth R. Frame, Kristen Dolniak, Lynn M. Anderson, Laura M. Frame and Holly Battles; and by six great-grandchildren.

 

Mrs. Frame retired as the service officer for Disabled American Veterans Chapter 6 in South Bend. She was a graduate of the former South Bend Central High School, and was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church for 49 years.

 

A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday in Holy Cross Catholic Church, with Rev. Timothy O'Connor, C.S.C., officiating. Cremation will follow, with burial in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park at a later date. Friends may call from 2 to 7 p.m. on Sunday in the Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William Street, where a wake prayer service will be held at 6:30 p.m.
