MISHAWAKA — Troy Michael Franklin, 24, of Phoenix, Ariz., formerly of Mishawaka, died Sunday in Phoenix following an automobile accident. Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Tina and Michael Thompson of South Bend; his father and stepmother, Douglas and Sheryl Franklin of Mishawaka; and two brothers, Adam Franklin and Casey Thompson.

Services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday in Bubb Funeral Chapel, where friends may call from noon until services.

Troy M. Franklin, 24, of Phoenix, Arizona, died in a car accident Sunday morning. Graduate of Mishawaka High School 1996. Troy's hobbies were playing guitar and drums, weight lifting, skydiving, hiking in the Arizona mountains, working on cars, poetry and "The Grateful Dead". Beloved son of Douglas and Sheryl Franklin of Mishawaka and Tina and Michael Thompson of South Bend, devoted brothers, Adam Franklin and Casey Thompson. Also surviving, Kathleen Hinton of Alabama, Mary Jane Jaronik of South Bend. Troy also left nieces, Breanna and Makayla Lymburner of South Bend, and Tiffany (Erhardt) Franklin of South Bend. Preceding in death are Cleo Douglas Franklin, paternal grandfather, of Alabama, Vernon Hinton of Alabama, Sandra (Butch) Ounderdunk, maternal grandmother of South Bend and Robert W. Jaronik, step-grandfather of South Bend.

Troy was a member of Painters Local 1118 Union, South Bend, before moving to Arizona. He was employed by Deans Painting, Phoenix, Arizona. Troy had a deep appreciation for his family and friends, life and nature. He was a friend to all and a stranger to none. Troy was our pride and joy, with a deep sensitivity for all people.

Services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, June 2, 2001, in Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 North Main Street, Mishawaka, Indiana. Friends may call from noon until 4 p.m.
