MISHAWAKA - Herbert L. Freet, 84, of Phoenix, AZ, formerly
of Mishawaka, passed away at 9:10 a.m., Tuesday, May 27, 2008, in
Evercare Hospice House, Glendale, AZ. Herbert was born on
November 29, 1923, in Wyandott, MI, to the late Samuel W. and
Clara L. (Mrozinski) Freet.
On February 8, 1947, he married Dorothy M. Kubik,
who passed away on February 28, 2005. He is also preceded in
death by her daughter, Susan Yeakey; and one sister.
Herbert moved to Arizona in 1971, and was an apartment manager
for many years. Herbert is survived by two sons, Douglas (Gilda)
Freet and Donald W. Freet, both of Phoenix, AZ; 10 grandchildren;
and 13 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters,
Annabelle Jewell and Lou Blasco, both of Mishawaka;
and three brothers, Raymond Freet of Missouri, Sam Freet of
Argos, IN and Richard Freet of Anderson, SC.
Visitation will be from 2:00-6:00 p.m.,
Sunday, June 1, 2008, in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley
Highway, Osceola. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m.,
Monday, June 2, 2008, in the funeral home, with burial to follow
in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola
