MISHAWAKA - Diane L. Freitag, 58, of Mishawaka, passed
away at 11:19 PM on Friday, Feb. 15, in Hospice House, South
Bend, after a courageous battle with cancer. Diana was born on
May 7, 1949, in Mishawaka, as the daughter of Stanford and
Mildred Ruth (Barrick) Barbour. She was preceded in
death by her parents. Surviving Diana are her son, Scott Freitag
of Mishawaka; two sisters, Sue Barbour of Mishawaka and Marge
Barbour of Tampa, FL; two brothers, Stanford (Sharon) Barbour Jr.
of Osceola and Donald (Linda) Barbour of Mishawaka. She was a
waitress at Honkers in Mishawaka and many other area restaurants.
Family and friends may gather together to celebrate Diana's life on Monday, February 18, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, in the funeral home, with Pastor Warren Kirkwood of Albright United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. Memorial contributions may be made to The Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637.
