Sister M. Prisca CSC, 90, of St. Mary’s Convent died there this morning, after an extended illness. She was born on Nov. 28, 1886 in Endigent, Baden, Germany, as Mary Frey, and entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross on March 15, 1906, coming from Germany. She was received as a novice on Dec. 10, 1906 and made her profession of vows on Dec. 10, 1908. She was assigned to ancillary services throughout her community life and served at St. Mary’s Convent and in the students infirmary at Notre Dame, where she worked for 27 years. She also served in Anderson, Fort Wayne and LaPorte; and in Idaho, Utah and New Mexico, until returning here in 1964.

 

Friends may call today and Sunday in the convent parlors, where a rosary will be recited at 7:15 p.m. Sunday. Services will be at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Loretto Church, with burial in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, both at St. Mary’s.
