Gottfried Futterknecht

MISHAWAKA - Gottfried Futterknecht, 58, an old and respected German citizen of this place, died at noon last Friday, after a three days' illness, which was caused by an attack of the grip combined with heart failure. He was born in Baden, Germany, and came to this country with his family in 1885. He was a stone mason by occupation, but for the past eight years was employed at the factory of the Mishawaka Woolen Company. He leaves besides his wife, five children. They are, Mrs. Amanda Heingschmidt and Mrs Lena Bruggner; Miss Sadie, Charles, and Leo Futterknecht of this place.

 

The funeral took place Monday morning at 9 am from St. Joseph Catholic Church, Rev. A. B. Oechtering officiating. Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery.
