SOUTH BEND - Randall "Randy" L. "Goose" Gann, 55, of South Bend, IN, passed away at 12:01 p.m. Monday, January 25, 2010, in Hospice House. Randy was born on November 6, 1954, in South Bend, to L.B. and Wilma (West) Gann. On January 23, 1993, in Mishawaka, IN, Randy married Barbara A. Lovitt. Barbara survives along with his three children, Brandy Mahon of Michigan, Michael Gann of South Bend and Jill Gann of Mishawaka; his three stepchildren, Jennafer Landry of South Bend, Sarah Blake of South Bend and David (Amber) Blake of Mishawaka; his father, L.B. Gann of Alabama; eight grandchildren, Austin, Zachery, Jarrod, Sydney, Jacob, Jordan, Chase and Torance; his siblings, Danny (Maurice) Gann of South Bend, Brenda (Bob) Martin of Tennessee and Fred (Eva) Troutmiller of Merrillville, IN. His mother, Wilma, and a grandson, Dillon Gann, have preceded him in death. Randy served in the U.S. Marine Corps, worked at A.M. General for 25 years and was a member of U.A.W. Local 5. Randy enjoyed all sports and was an avid Notre Dame football fan, an avid NASCAR fan, with Mark Martin being his favorite driver, and he was a Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. He loved to play golf in the family outings, and loved to play cribbage with his brother. Randy loved to travel and photograph the places he had visited, and he loved life and lived it to the fullest. Funeral services for Randy will take place at 6:00 p.m. Friday in the Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka, where visitation will also take place on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Rev. Jason Nicholls will officiate the funeral services. Cremation will take place. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc., 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637; or to the donor's choice.
