Nelva I. Ganss

MISHAWAKA – Mrs. Nelva I. Ganss, 72, of 1617 Panama, was dead of arrival at 10 p.m. Thursday in St. Joseph Hospital where she was taken after becoming ill in her home. She was bron on Feb. 21, 1909 in Pulaski County, Ind., and moved here from that area in 1925.

 

As Nelva Good she married Frank J. Dawson on March 23, 1925 in St. Joseph. He died in 1945. She married Alfred Ganss on Aug. 7, 1954 in Plymouth. He survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Delores) Beard of Driftwood, Tex., and Mrs. Kenneth (Phyllis) Smith of South Bend; three sons, James F. Dawson of South Bend, Arthur Ganss, at home, and Donald E. Dawson of Osceola; 18 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Nedra Horton of Baldwin, Mich., and Mrs. John (Florence) Kopsea of Michawaka and two brothers, Wayne Good of Sturgis and Forrest Good of Osceola.

 

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9  p.m. Sunday in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home. Mrs. Ganss was a member of the Twin City Baptist Church.
