South Bend Tribune 7/1/1915

Brother Just CSC, 47, whose worldly name was Robert Garrett, died at Notre Dame last night. As prefect of Carroll Hall for 15 years, he became known to thousands of students, now scattered throughout the United States. Death was caused by a complication of stomach problems. He dies just as he wished, during the retreat of the Order of Holy Cross now being held at Notre Dame. Students who came in contact with him found him to be a man of few words, but of kindly disposition and capable in every capacity. For several years he was in charge of Columbill’s School for boys in Chicago, and also of Sacred Heart College in Watertown, Wis. During the last three years he had been retired. Survivors include a brother, Brother Hilarian, who is assistant Steward at Notre Dame.

The funeral will be held Friday morning in the church of Sacred Heart at Notre Dame, and burial will be in the Notre Dame Community Cemetery.
