Helen R. (Papp) Garrison, 88, residing at 915 S. 27th Street, formerly of Klinger Street, South Bend, Ind., died at 6:25 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 11, in the River Park Nursing Home. Mrs. Garrison was formerly employed in the dining room at the University of Notre Dame.

She was born on Feb. 16, 1911, in South Bend, to the late Andrew and Rosalie Papp, and had lived in South Bend all of her life. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Goldie ''Rita''; and by two brothers, James and Lewis Papp. Helen is survived by a sister-in-law, Anne Papp of South Bend, and by several nieces and nephews.

Services for Mrs. Garrison will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 15, in the Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday in the Palmer Funeral Home.
