Martha M. Gaubinger, 85, of Meridian Nursing Center-Cardinal, died there early today. Mrs. Gaubinger was born Aug. 27, 1902 in Vienna, Austria, and lived in South Bend since coming from Vienna in 1922.
On Sept. 16, 1927, in Austria, as Martha Mayer, she married Joseph Gaubinger. He died Aug. 26, 1976. She is survived by a daughter, Marlene McGinn of Lighthouse Point, Fla.; a son Joseph of North Hampton, Mass.; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister Hermine Mayer of Boca Raton, Fla.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in McGann Funeral Home where a combine parish and Altar Society rosary will be said at 3:30 p.m. She was a member of the church and the Altar Society.
