SOUTH BEND - Mrs. Dorothea Gelder, aged 77, of 1214 S. Marietta Street, died at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frank Farrell, with whom she had been making her home. She was born in Germany March 30, 1861, and came here from Berlin 33 years ago.

Surviving are another daughter, Mrs. Cornelius Hauweghen, of Yale, Mich. and a son, Albert Gelder of South Bend; 23 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Friends may call in the residence Thursday and the funeral will take place there at 2 p.m. Friday. Rev. M. C. Hoefer, pastor of St. Peter’s Evangelical & Reformed Church will officiate and interment will be in Highland Cemetery.
