MISHAWAKA - Frank Germano, 87, of 207 West Broadway Street, died Wednesday morning i9n St. Joseph Medical Center in South Bend after an illness. He was the owner and operator of Frank’s Shoe Service in South Bend. He was born Nov. 26, 1905 in Plati, Reggio, Calabria, Italy, and lived in Mishawaka since 1922 coming from Italy.

On May 12, 1929 he married Elizabeth Portolese. She survives with a daughter Nancy Germano of Mishawaka, and a brother Joseph of South Bend. He was a member of Diloreto Society and St. Monica’s Catholic Church.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the church with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in Bubb Funeral Chapel North, where a parish rosary will be said at 3:45 p.m.
