Wyatt Allen Gibson

SOUTH BEND - Wyatt Allen ``Jack'' Gibson, 98, of Greensprings Manor, formerly of Oakland Avenue, died at 1:30 a.m. Thursday in the nursing home. Mr. Gibson retired in 1976 from South Bend Tool & Die Co. as a machinist after 15 years of service. He was born May 9, 1895, in Hagerstown, Ind., and lived in South Bend most of his life.

 

On July 23, 1968, in South Bend, he married Virgie Lavon Bushman. She survives, with a daughter, Judy Bloxson of Elkhart; a stepdaughter, Ruby Deafenbaugh of Cassopolis; two stepsons, Billy Bushman of Albany, Ga., and Ralph G. Edward of New Mexico; two granddaughters; two stepgrandsons; one great-granddaughter; and a sister, Evangeline Peckinpaugh of New Castle, Ind. He was a member of Osceola Church of the Brethren and Pioneer Auto Club.

 

Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in the church. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. Friends may call two hours before services in the church. Hollis-Orvis-Palmer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
