Sept. 2, 1920 – Aug. 26, 2005 GRANGER Alice M. Gillen, 84, of Avanelle Street, Granger, died Friday evening in Memorial Hospital. Alice was an avid antique dealer in the Michiana area for many years. She was born September 2, 1920 in South Bend to John and Mary (Rzonca) Setlock, who preceded her in death along with her husband, Robert M. Gillen on April 7, 1999; a son, Robert, six sisters, Caroline, Catherine, Adeline, Julia, Rose, Lenora; and a brother, Walter. Surviving are a daughter, Mary Devereaux of Mishawaka; two sons, Thomas (Mickie) Gillen of Lafayette, Ind., and Dennis (Stella) Gillen of Odessa, Missouri; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, especially Joanne Glon and Judy Hull. Private services will be held at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. There will be no visitation. The HICKEY Funeral Homes, 17131 Cleveland Road, is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer society or to the Heart Fund. A special thank you to Jeanne Wolmer for her loving care and friendship to our mother.
