William R. Gilliland

MISHAWAKA - William R. Gilliland, 81,
of West 16th Street, died at 1:34 a.m. today in St. Joseph
Hospital of natural causes. Mr. Gilliland retired in 1973 after
40 years with Dodge Division of Reliance Electric Co. He was born
April 22, 1912, in Mishawaka.
On April 26, 1941, in Elkhart, he married
Marna J. Scheibley. She survives with a son, David J. of
Mishawaka, and a grandchild. He was a Navy veteran of World War
II and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 360 and Masonic
Lodge 130.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Bubb
Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main St. Burial will be in Chapel
Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m.
Wednesday in the funeral home.
