Angelo Gizzi

MISHAWAKA – Angelo Gizzi, 90, of 509 Alabama Street, died at 5 p.m. today in Osteopathic Hospital, South Bend. He has been ill the last six months. Mr. Gizzi was a retired employee of the city Water and Electric Department. He was born on Aug. 28, 1872 in Alatri, Italy.

He married Philomine Magilochetti in Italy on May 26, 1901. Survivors are his widow; a son Luigi Gizzi of Mishawaka; a daughter, Mrs. Angelo Morconi, also of this city; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Friends may call in the DeVos Funeral Chapel. Services will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph Catholic Church with Very Rev. Curt A. Suezler, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the funeral chapel. Mr. Gizzi was a member of the Di Amicis Club and South Bend Lodge 415, Fraternal Order of Eagles.
