MISHAWAKA – Luigi Gizzi, 74, of 721 Alabama Street, died at 2:04 a.m. today in St. Joseph Hospital, South Bend, after a lengthy illness. He was retired from Uniroyal in 1963 after 41 years of service. Born March 24, 1906 in Alatri, Italy, he moved to Mishawaka in 1927.

On Feb. 14, 1928 in Italy, he married Carmina Moriconi. She survives alond with a daughter, Mrs. Mrs. Darrell (Virginia) Zellers of Mishawaka; two sons Brother Eugene Gizzi, CFA of Chicago, and Emilio Guy Gizzi of South Bend; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister Mrs. Oliva Moriconi.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the Hahn-Peffley-DeVos Funeral Chapel. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Joseph Catholic Church. Rev. Kenneth Sarrazine, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
