Mrs. Elva Wright Glass, Heaton Lake, near Elkhart, IN, died at 7 pm Tuesday in the Hurley Nursing home, Elkhart, after an illness of four years. She was born in Sauktown, Ind., April 27, 1876, and spent most of her life in St. Joseph county. In 1946 she was married to Kroth Glass, who survives. Other survivors are nine children, Mrs. Cora Backstrom, South Bend; Mrs. Edna Flory and George Wright, both of New Carlisle, this county; Nelson Wright, LaPorte, Ind; Mrs. Elva McKenny, Michgan City, Ind; Charles Wright, Mishawaka; and Russell, Clayton, and Kenneth Wright, all of Elkhart; 16 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and six sisters, Mrs. Samuel Corle, Mrs. Jane Scheer and Mrs. Glenna O'Dell, all of South Bend; Mrs. Pearl Patterson, Edwarsburg, Mich, Mrs. Leo Alexis, Granger, this county, and Mrs. Ethel Dunham, Flint, Mich. Friends may call in the Hollis chapel after 7 pm today until funeral services there at 2:30 pm Friday. Interment will be in the Sauktown cemetery.
