South Bend – Mrs. Ruth Heston Gleason, 61, of Lockport, Ill., formerly of South Bend, died at 10:35 p.m. Thursday in the Silver Cross Hospital, Lockport, Ill after a short illness. Born on Jan. 31, 1914 in South Bend, she had lived here until moving to Lockport 35 years ago.

Her husband James Gleason survives. Also surviving are three sons, Richard of Portland, Ohio, Thomas of Lenox, Ill., and James of Long Beach, Claif.; two daughters, Mrs. Patricia H. Hansen of Cleveland and Mrs. Marsha Hodosi of Joliet, Ill.; 13 grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Ralph Peterson of South Bend and two brothers, Robert Heston of Mishawaka and A. Joseph of Payson, Ariz.

Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday in St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the Hickey Funeral Home.
