Mrs. Helen E. Gleissner, of 2528 Mishawaka Ave. died at 6 a.m. today in her residence after an illness of one year.

She was born in Fort Wayne, Aug. 2, 1916, and came to South Bend from LaPorte 24 years ago.

In LaPorte on Oct. 30, 1930, she was married to Fred. J. Gleissner.

Mrs. Gleissner was a registered nurse, graduating from the Jackson Park Hospital in Chicago.

Surviving are her husband, Fred J.; a son James J., at home; and a sister, Mrs. Thelma Slechter of Ohio.

Friends may call after Wednesday noon in the Hollis Funeral Home.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Anthony’s Catholic Church with Rev. Jerome Bonk, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park.

Mrs. Gleissner had been associated with the Hollis Funeral Home for the last 24 years.
