Frank I. Golba

Frank I. Golba, 80, of 223 S. Varsity Drive, died about 11 p.m. Wednesday in his home after an illness. Mr. Golba retired as a salesman for Schwartz Paper Co., Chicago in 1974, after 25 years. Born July 28, 1907 in Tomaston, Conn., he had lived in this area most of his life.

 

Ob Oct. 5, 1927 he married Mary C. Stoops. She survives with a daughter, Janet Keller of Hastings, Mich.; a son Charles of South Bend; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Wawrzynczak of South Bend and Geneivieve Juday of Mishawaka; and a brother, Stanley of Bradenton, Fla.

 

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Anthony de Pauda Catholic Church. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home, Mishawaka, where a rosary will be recited at 3 p.m. Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to the church of which Mr. Golba was a member. He also belonged to the Holy Name Society of the church and the Knights of Columbus Council 553, where he was a fourth-degree knight.
