Magdalena Katherine Gooley

Services for Magdalena K. Gooley, 100, of 931 S. 36th Street, who died at 7 a.m. Monday in her home, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Anthony de Pauda Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Grange. Memorial contributions may be made to the church. She was an employee of the former Ball Band, Mishawaka. She was born Nov.5, 1898 in Niles and moved to South Bend in 1908 from New Carlisle.

 

On June 15, 1910, in Mishawaka, she married Robert H. Gooley, who died in 1975. She is survived by three daughters, Lucille Burkhart of South Bend, Loretta Stover of Niles and Clara Vance of Mishawaka; a son Edward C. of South Bend; 15 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; a sister Esther Beutter of South bend; and a brother, Walter Steif of Mishawaka. A son John died in 1983. She was a member of the church and the Legion of Mary and Harvest House, both of the church.
