Frank ''Joe'' Goralczyk, age 82, formerly of S. Jackson St., South Bend, died at 2:15 a.m. Wednesday in Regency Place, South Bend. He was born Sept. 29, 1916 in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident. Mr. Goralczyk retired in 1979 from Sibley Foundry.

 

On August 29, 1942 in South Bend, he married Ester Goralski who survives. Also surviving is a son, Kenneth (Suellen) Goralczyk of South Bend, seven grandchildren, Sheila (Bill) Nelson, Craig (Tanna) Sroda, Colleen (Jesus) Renteria, all of South Bend, Bradley (Karen) Sroda of Wisconsin, Kevin (Lynn) Goralczyk of Bremen, Ind., Jeffery (Angela) Goralczyk of Syracuse, Ind., and Patrick Goralczyk of Sterling Heights, MI, twelve great-grandchildren, a sister, Regina Weisel of South Bend, and a brother, Jerome (Mardell) Goralczyk of South Bend. Preceding Mr. Goralczyk in death was a daughter, Darlene Sroda who died in 1982, a sister, Theresa (Goralski) Schneider who died in 1988 and a brother, Matthew Goralczyk who died in 1998.

 

Family and friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday in the St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Road, where a combined rosary will be said at 2:30 p.m. by the parish, Senior Citizens of St. Casimir, and the Married Men's Club. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Casimir Catholic Church. Entombment will be in the Resurrection Gardens Mausoleum in the St. Joseph Cemetery.

Mr. Goralczyk was an Army veteran of World War II, a member of American Legion Pulaski Post #357, Polish National Alliance Lodge #83, and St. Anthony's Golf League. He was also a member of St. Casimir Married Men's Club and Senior Citizens Club of St. Casimir.
