SOUTH BEND - Tillie Goralski, 91, formerly of Dunham
Street, South Bend, passed away on Wednesday, October 24, 2007,
at 3:00 a.m. in Oasis Lifestyles Living Center, Stafford, TX.
Tillie was born on June 15, 1916, in South Bend, to the late
Ignatius and Sophie (Witkowski) Micinski.
On September 5, 1936, she married Harry in
South Bend, and they were married 61 years before he preceded her
in death on September 15, 1996. She was also preceded in death by
13 siblings. She is survived by her three sons, Melvin Goralski
of South Bend, Paul Goralski of San Diego, CA, and David Goralski
of Houston, TX; five grandchildren, Brian Goralski of Naperville,
IL, Michael Goralski of Phoenix, AZ, Pamela Taylor of
Houston, Malinda Sawyer of Houston and Katherine Tapley
of San Antonio, TX; nine great-grandchildren, Haley Harrell
of Niles, MI, Ryan Goralski, Colin Goralski, Justin Goralski and
Megan Goralski, all of Naperville, Roman Goralski of Phoenix,
Austin Taylor, Connor Taylor and Kendra Sawyer, all of Houston;
and one great-great-grandchild, Grace Harrell of Niles. She is
also survived by her only living sibling, her sister, Julie Walker
of Taveres, FL. Tillie was a parishioner of St. Casimir Catholic
Church and was very active at St. Casimir, including the Altar
and Rosary Society and the Senior Citizens Club. She worked many
years for the South Bend School Corporation at Washington High
School and retired from IUSB as the director of maintenance.
Visitation will be today, October 28, 2007,
from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in ST. JOSEPH
FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, South Bend, where a Rosary
will be prayed at 3:30 p.m. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated
on Monday, October 29, 2007, at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend. Donations
on behalf of Tillie Goralski may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph
County.
