William Stanley Goss

William Stanley Goss, 85, of La Palma, Calif., formerly of Middleboro, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away on Sunday, Dec. 21, in Country Villa Nursing Home, Seal Beach, Calif. William was born on Dec. 7, 1918, in Mishawaka, as the son of the late Louis and Hazel (Stanley) Goss. William was also preceded in death by his stepmother, Inez Barnhart.

 

On April 12, 1947, he married Betty M. (Hardesty) Norlin, who survives, along with a daughter, Linda Baechle of South Bend; a son, Steven (Joan) Warner of La Palma; and four grandchildren, Jonathon Blair, Lauren Baechle, Cameron Baechle and Tammy (Rudy) Olea.

 

William was a sales associate for Montgomery Wards for 15 years before retiring in 1985. He was a United States Army veteran, serving his country proudly during World War II. William was a loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family, always bringing a smile to someone's face. He will be truly missed but never forgotten.

 

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today, Dec. 26, in the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th St., Mishawaka. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 27, in the Hahn Funeral Home, with Rev. Dr. M. Gregory Timmons officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, Ind.
