Sister Mary Joselda CSC, 40, of the Sisters of Holy Cross, died in St. Joseph Hospital, South Bend at 4:50 p.m. Saturday after a several months’ illness. She was born Mary Ruth Graff in Chicago in 1917. She was educated in Chicago and graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1936. A member of St. Malachy’s Parish in Chicago, she entered the Sisters of the Holy Cross in 1939, receiving the habit of the congregation in 1940 and making her profession of final vows in 1945. During the past school year she taught in St. Joseph School in South Bend. She became ill during the closing weeks of school and entered the hospital soon after.

 

A requiem high mass will be sung in the Church of Our Lady of Loretto at St. Mary’s at 9 a.m. Monday with burial in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery on the campus. Friends may call in the convent parlor.
