Services for Mary L. Graveel, 63, of 589 Helena Court, Upland, Calif. who died Aug. 17 in the University Hospital in Irving, Calif., following an illness of more than a year, were held in Covina, Calif. Burial followed in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Born Aug 21, 1920in Culver she had lived in South Bend most of her life coming from Culver. She moved to California in 1972.

On May 22, 1948 in South Bend, as Mary Savage, she married Jules Graveel, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Sue Castaldi of Upland; two sons Larry of Kansas City, and Dean of Alexandria, Ind.; seven grandchildren; and three sisters, Mildred Simcox and Herma Sanders, both of South Bend, and Jean Lagan of Coldwater. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
