MISHAWAKA – Richard C. Graveel, 35, of 2743 N. Main Street was killed Sunday in a traffic accident in Ind. 23 near Brick Road. He was born Sept. 16, 1939 in Mishawaka, and had lived here his lifetime. He was employed as an electrician at the Donald C. Cook Nuclear Plant near Bridgman and was a member of the BK Club, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 153 and had served from 1957 to 1959 in the US Navy.

 

On June 24, 1961 he married Katherine A. Brothers. Surviving besides his widow are one son Michael and four daughters, Denise, Susan, Judith and Deborah, all at home; his parents Mr. and Mrs. Raymond G. Graveel; two brothers, James Graveel of South Bend, and John Graveel of Mishawaka, and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Ann Hopkins, Colorado Springs, Colo., and Patricia Graveel, Mishawaka.

 

Friends may call after 7 p.m. today and all day Tuesday at the DeVos Funeral Chapel. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Monica’s Catholic Church, with Rev. William Gleranowski, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
