Robert Cyriel Graveel

MISHAWAKA – Robert C. Graveel, 39, of 417 W. 6th Street, died at 5:15 p.m. Friday in his residence. He had been ill for about three days and suffered a heart seizure shortly before his death. Me Graveel was a clerk in the St. Joseph County auditor’s office in the court house, South Bend. He was born in Mishawaka and had always lived here.

 

He was married in Ranteul, Ill. in 1994. Surviving are his widow Mrs. Beryl Graveel, of Fort Morgan, Colo; and one son Samuel H. Graveel and one daughter, Ruth Ann Graveel, bot of Fort Morgan, Colo; his mother and step-father , Mr. and Mrs. Paul Van Lul of Mishawaka. A grandmother, Mrs. Augusta Speybroeck, with whom he lived, and a half-brother Gene Goddard, and two sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Fuller and Mrs. Betty Bobson, both of Mishawaka.

 

He was a Democratic Precinct Committeeman in his district and formerly was the Mishawaka City milk inspector. He was a member of St. Bavo’s Athletic Assoc. and the Penn Twp. Democratic Club.

 

Friends may call at the DeVos Chapel Sunday morning and until the funeral services at a9 a.m. Tuesday in St. Bavo’s Catholic Church. Rev. Otto J. Keller, pastor, will officiate and burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. He was a veteran of World War II. The rosary will be recited Monday night in the church after novena services.
