Anna E. Gray
     Anne E. Gray, 98, of Meridian Nursing  Center-Cardinal, South Bend,
formerly of Mishawaka, died at 12:30 a.m. today in  the nursing home.  Mrs. Gray
was born October 31, 1890, in South Bend, and  was a life long area resident. 
She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic  Church, the Rosary and Altar
Society of the church and Daughters of  Isabella.  On June 18, 1913, in South Bend,
as Anna Brennan, she married  Alton E. Gray.  He died in 1961.  Surviving are
four daughters, Mary  Grace Nagle of Elkhart, Florence Daniels of Hollywood,
Fla., Jeanne James of  Lakeland, Fla., and Inez Huys of South Bend; two sons,
George of South Bend and  Thomas R. of Mishawaka; 22 grandchildren; 35
great-grandchildren; two  great-great-grandchildren; and a sister Loretta Brennan of
Mishawaka.  A  son, Lawrence E., died in 1955.
