MISHAWAKA - Katherine Helen Green,
85, of 213 W. Battell St., died at 6:10 p.m. Wednesday in the
home of her daughter at 1102 S. Ironwood Drive, South Bend. Mrs.
Green was born April 8, 1909, in Mishawaka, and was a lifelong
area resident.
On Oct. 14, 1933, in South Bend, as
Katherine Helen Shelter, she married Jasper Olin Green. He
died on Nov. 14, 1993. She is survived by a daughter, Doris Carpenter
of South Bend; a son, Glen of Westchester, Ill.; six
grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Bubb
Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main St. Burial will be in Fairview
Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in
the funeral home.
