Dr. Judith Kay (Judy) Greenlee

Visit Guest Book July 31, 1950 - Nov. 11, 2011 MISHAWAKA - Dr, Judith Kay (Judy) Greenlee, beloved wife, daughter, sister and aunt, passed away on Nov. 11, 2011, in Altadena, CA. She was preceded in death by her father, Otis Greenlee, Oct. 2, 2001. She is survived by her husband, Dr. Theodore Crovello, Altadena, CA; mother, Lillian Greenlee, South Bend, IN; sisters, Joan Elias (Richard), Middlebury, IN, Jeri Greenlee Brown, Oklahoma, Carol Riddle (Roger), South Bend, IN; and many nieces and nephews. Judy received a B.A. in Biology from IUSB (1979) and a Ph.D in Genetics from Notre Dame (1983). She held postdoctoral positions at Stanford University and the University of California, Davis, and was Professor of Biology at Pasadena City College until medical retirement in 2001. Judy loved teaching, and both respected and cared deeply for her students both in and out of the classroom. They responded positively to her knowledge, inquisitive mind and enthusiasm. She passionately loved animals, and showed it with her energy and support of many organizations. A private family memorial will be held.
