MISHAWAKA - August W. Griesinger, 84, of 500 Lincoln Way E., died at 8:25 p.m. Wednesday in Michiana Community Hospital, South Bend. Mr. Griesinger was born March 5, 1911, in Mishawaka.
He is survived by a sister, Pauline E. Burmeister of South Bend; a brother, Gordon W. of South Bend; and several nieces and nephews. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Zion United Church of Christ, South Bend.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the church. Cremation will take place, with burial in Salem Cemetery, Noble County, Ind. Hollis-Orvis-Palmer Funeral Home, South Bend, is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
