Robert M. Griffin

December 16, 1914 – August 4, 1977

Services for Robert M. Griffin, 62, of 208 Toni, who died Thursday, will be at 9am Monday in St Patrick’s Catholic Church, Rev. Thomas Stella, assistant pastor, officiating.  Entombment will be in St Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger.

Friends may call form 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm Saturday and Sunday in the Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William.  He was retired from White Farm Equipment Co, where he was an operating instruction editor for 22 years.

He was born on December 16, 1914, in Hartford City, and lived here 28 years after coming from Springfield OH.  Oh September 22, 1951, he married Rose Barna, who survives, along with three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Vincent of Sarasota FL, Mrs. Mary Paxon of Coloma MI, and Mrs. Helen Davis of Marco Island FL and two brothers, John of LaPorte and James of Springfield OH.

Griffin was a member of Local 1096, United Auto Workers and a WW II veteran.  A wake will be at 7pm Sunday in the funeral home.
