Frederick Carl Grimes

Feb. 1873 – Mar. 23, 1940

Fred C. Grimes, 735 Lincoln Way East, Mishawaka, treasurer of the Mishawaka Rubber & Woolen Manufacturing company, died at 12:45 a.m. today in St. Joseph hospital, Mishawaka, after a short illness. Death was caused by coronary thrombosis. Mr. Grimes was born in Elkhart, Ind., and came to Mishawaka in 1906 from Denver, Colo.

Mr. Grimes was married to Miss Luella Fellows 36 years ago. She died in 1935 and in November, 1938 he married Miss Eula Sunderlin. Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Mrs. F. C. Fellingham, of Tulsa, Okla.; one sister, Mrs. C. F. McCain, of Lincoln, Neb., and two grandchildren.

Friends will be received in Sprague chapel until the hour of the funeral services which will be there at 2 p.m. Monday. Rev. J. A. Burnett, D. D., of South Bend, will officiate and burial will be in the Fairview mausoleum.

 

Mr. Grimes was a member of the Fellowship club and the Ball-Band Foreman's club.
