SOUTH BEND - Services for Alice F. Grzesk, 71, of North Sheridan Street, who died at 11:45 a.m. Saturday in her home after an illness, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today in Kaniewski Funeral Home, where a vigil service will be at 4:30 p.m. and a parish rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County Inc. Mrs. Grzesk was born Oct. 26, 1922, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident.
On Nov. 8, 1947, in South Bend, as Alice Frances Kapalczynski, she married Richard Grzesk. He survives with two daughters, Kimberly A. Grzesk of South Bend and Pamela A. Grzesk of Indianapolis; a son, Gregory A. of South Bend; two grandchildren; a sister, Cecelia Matthews of Mishawaka; and a brother, Leonard Kapalczynski of South Bend. She was a charter member of the church.
