Rosa Guerra

MISHAWAKA – Mrs. Francisco Guerra, 86, of 1016 S. Spring Street, died at 4:05 a.m. in her residence after a two-week illness. Born in Santarcangelo, Italy on May 15, 1881, she came to this county in 1912 and had lived here for 56 years.

 

As Miss Rosa Scori, she married Francisco Guerra in 1906 in Italy. He died in 1957. Surviving are two sons, Anthony and Adam; two daughters, Mrs. Pauline Meixel and Mrs. Louise Amaral, all of Mishawaka; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews in Italy

 

Friends may call after 6 p.m. today in the DeVos Funeral Chapel. Services will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday in St. Bavo’s Catholic Church, with Rev. Stephen Cvangia, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Mrs. Guerra was a member of the Senior Altar Society of St. Bavo’s Church.
