Anna M. Gulyanics

Anna M. (Campanale) Gulyanics, 76, of Mishawaka, Ind., passed away at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, July 11, at St. Joseph Community Hospital, Mishawaka.

 

She was born on Sept. 17, 1921, in Mishawaka, to Rocco and Tina (Carabini) Campanale, who preceded her in death. She lived her entire life in Mishawaka. On June 8, 1946, Ann married George Gulyanics, who preceded her in death on Jan. 19, 1990. She was also preceded in death by a son, Gerald on Feb. 9, 1963; and by a brother, Leonard Campanale on July 28, 1989.

 

Mrs. Gulyanics is survived by two sons and a daughter, George M. of Mishawaka, Eugene L. ''Geno'' of Lawton, Mich., and Dr. Debra Gulyanics of Lake Havasu City, Ariz.; a brother, Eugene Campanale of Granger, Ind.; and by a granddaughter, Amanda Gulyanics of North Liberty, Ind.

 

Mrs. Gulyanics was a graduate of St. Joseph's Academy and of Indiana University at South Bend, with a Bachelor's and Master's degree.

 

She taught school for 24 years in the Mishawaka/South Bend area at St. Bavo's School and St. Monica's School, and 17 years teaching English in Mishawaka High School. She was also an adjunct professor at IUSB.

 

Mrs. Gulyanics was a member of the Democratic Women's Club and of St. Monica's Parish.

 

There will be no visitation.

 

A funeral Mass will be said at 10 a.m. today at St. Monica's Catholic Church, Mishawaka, with burial following at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park Cemetery.

 

Memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetes Association.
