Lonnie Lee Guyberson, 47, of 68351
Eagle Lake Road, Edwardsburg, Mich., died at 1:15 p.m. on
Wednesday, Aug. 4, in his home. He was born to Lucille M. (Shufty)
and William J. Guyberson, Sr., and had lived in Edwardsburg for
three years, coming from Mishawaka, Ind. Mr. Guyberson was the
owner and operator of Techtronic Business Systems in Edwardsburg.
He attended Holy Cross Church in South Bend, Ind. He served with
the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. Surviving family includes
his daughter, Shawna Marie Kneffeley of South Bend;
parents, William J. Guyberson, Sr., of Mishawaka and Lucille M.
Guyberson of Lakeville, Ind.; his siblings, Terry (Betsy) Reed
of Muldrow, Okla., William J. Guyberson, Jr., of LaPaz, Ind.,
Randy Allen Guyberson of North Liberty, Ind., Bradley Keith
(Gloria) Guyberson of Elkhart, Ind., Marlene Marie (John) Heater
of Lakeville, Jeff (Lisa) Guyberson of Buchanan, Mich., and
Dallas (Wilma) Guyberson of Denver, Colo.; and several nieces and
nephews.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on
Monday, Aug. 9, in the Halbritter Funeral Home, Niles, with the
Reverend Michael Belinski, C.S.C., of Holy Cross Church, South
Bend, officiating. A veteran's flag presentation will follow the
services with John McLaughlin, commander of American Legion Post
26 of Niles, officiating. The committal service will be at 3 p.m.
on Monday at the graveside at Sumption Prairie Cemetery, South
Bend. The family will receive friends from 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday
in the Halbritter Funeral Home, Niles, with the Rosary recited at
5:30 p.m. Contributions in memory of Lonnie Lee Guyberson may be
made to the Berrien County FIA - Foster Care Program.
