SOUTH BEND - Services for Helen Hagye, 83, of South Scott Street, who died at 11:11 a.m. Thursday in her home, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Our Lady of Hungary Catholic Church. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Zahoran Funeral Home, where a rosary will be said at 3 p.m. by St. Ann Society, Sacred Heart and Rosary Society, and Harvest House. Memorial contributions may be made to the church scholarship fund. Mrs. Hagye had been employed at St. Joseph's Medical Center. She was born Oct. 31, 1911, in South Bend and was a lifetime area resident.
On June 1, 1935, in South Bend, as Helen Frey, she married Frank Hagye. He died March 23, 1992. Surviving are three daughters, Rosemarie Jamroz of Grand Rapids, Marilyn Kinder of South Bend and Eileen Sherk of Bremen; two sons, Richard of Norwalk, Ohio, and Francis of Greer, S.C.; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was a member of the church, St. Ann Society, Sacred Heart and Rosary Society, and Harvest House.
