SOUTH BEND - Olive J. Hahn, 83, of
St. Paul's Retirement Community, died at 7 p.m. Wednesday in St.
Joseph's Medical Center after an illness. Mrs. Hahn was born
Sept. 4, 1911, in Elkhart and was a lifelong area resident.
On March 9, 1935, in South Bend, as Olive J.
Basler, she married George Hahn. He died May 2, 1988. She
is survived by two daughters, Georgia Hamilton of
Edwardsburg and Barbara Dickey of South Bend; four
grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two sisters,
Alberta Null of Chicago and Esther Luczkowski of
South Bend. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and
its Women's Society.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in
Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, 435 S. Ironwood Drive. Burial will be
in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today in
the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the
church or American Kidney Association.
