OSCEOLA - Ronald F. Hale, 71, of Osceola, died in his home with his family at his side at 11:34 a.m. Saturday January 5, 2007. He was born in Alto Pass, IL, on December 7, 1936 to Bill and Pauline (Carter) Hale who preceded him in death.

Ronald married the former Peggy L. Johnston in Osceola on September 14, 1957. He is survived by Peggy, his wife of fifty years. He is also survived by two daughters, Susan (Jack) Parkhurst of Elkhart, and Sally (Peter) Norton of Granger; and a son, Ronald F. Hale Jr. of Osceola; six grandchildren, Lisa, Nick, Alex, Aileen, Elisabeth and Elena; two great-grandchildren, Michael and Kallie; a sister, Rosalie (Jay) Anderson of Mishawaka; and a brother, Larry (Audrey) Hale of Elkhart. Mr. Hale was a Plumber-Pipefitter working out of Local #172, of which he was a member. He also was a member of Osceola Masonic Lodge # 742, Osceola Eastern Star # 598 and Elkhart Moose Lodge # 599.

Friends may visit with the family from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday January 8 in Bubb Funeral Chapel, where a Masonic service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral services will be held at Pleasant Valley United Church of Christ, of which he was a member, at 10 a.m. Wednesday, with Rev. Dr. Sam Boys officiating. The family will receive friends an hour prior to services. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
