Betty J. Hallam

Betty J. Hallam, 77, of Rosewood Drive, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away at 8:50 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 12, in her residence.

Betty was born on July 4, 1922, in Galveston, Ind., to the late Gertrude and Glen Spradling, who preceded her in death.

On April 3, 1945, she married Harold J. Hallam in Richmond, Ind. He survives.

She is also survived by a daughter, Linda C. (Harold) Jones of Mishawaka; two sons, Gerald ''Pete'' (Janice) Hallam of Mishawaka and James L. (Bambi) Hallam of South Bend, Ind.; eight grandchildren, Jody (Jeff) Durham of Mishawaka, Jeff Jones of Phoenix, Ariz., Cheryl (Mike) Robinson, John (Veronica) Hallam, Deborah (Rich) Zimmerman, Michelle (Fabian) Chavez, all of Mishawaka, Mishi Hallam and Jessica Hallam, both of South Bend; 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, Charles A. Hallam of Logansport, Ind.; and by two sisters, Sue Baur and Irene Miller, both of Elkhart, Ind.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 15, in the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka, where friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today. Burial will follow the services at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.
