Lucille Halley

Lucille “Lucy” Halley, 74, of Hendricks Street, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away at 11:40 a.m. Saturday Feb. 8, 2003 in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center South Bend after an illness. Lucille was born on May 14, 1928 in South Bend, Ind., to Gova and Goldie Stratton, who both have preceded her in death. She was also preceded by three sons, Robert James Halley II, Randy Lee Halley, and Mark Allen Halley, one sister, Catherine Hoskins, two brothers, Dale Stratton and James Stratton. Lucille lived in Laramie, Wyoming for 10 years returning to Mishawaka in 1971.

 

On May 14, 1949 as Lucille E. Stratton she married Robert James Halley in South Bend. Robert survives along with one son, Robert W. Halley of Mishawaka, and two daughter in laws, Jennifer Halley of Mishawaka, and Melanie Philippsen of Wabash, Ind., seven grandchildren, one great grandchild, one sister, Mildred Vervynckt of South Bend, three brothers, Charles Stratton, Dalton Stratton, and George Stratton all of Mishawaka. Lucille was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Fraternal Order of Eagles # 2083 and V.F.W. #360 Women's Auxiliary in Mishawaka.

 

Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 2 until 4 and 6 until 8 p.m. at the Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main Street Mishawaka, where funeral services will take place at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2003. Rev. Robert Baird will officiate the services with burial to follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Memorial contributions can be made to Prairie Gardens Christian Fellowship, P.O.
