Sister Judith Therese CSC, 76, of Saint Mary’s Convent, died at 11:15 p.m. Saturday in the convent after a lengthy illness. Born Emilie Veronica Hallinnan on Oct. 30, 1905 in San Francisco, Calif., she entered the Congregation of the Sister of the Holy Cross on June 23, 1930 coming from San Francisco. She became a novice on Jan. 6, 1931 and professed her vows on Jan. 6, 1933.She was assigned to teaching secondary schools in California, Utah, Idaho, Texas and Pennsylvania throughout her community life. She lived in St. Catherine’s Convent, Ventura, Calif., following her illness in 1977, coming to St. Mary’s Convent in 1978. Surviving are two sisters and a brother, all of California.

 

Services will beat 10 a.m. Tuesday in Our Lady of Loretto Church and burial in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, on St. Mary’s campus. A wake service will be at 7 p.m. today in the convent.
