MISHAWAKA - Thomas E. Hall, 81, of Mishawaka, died on Tuesday, June 1, 2010. He was born in Winchester, TN, on September 19, 1928, to Auburn and Montie (Busbee) Hall. Thomas moved to the South Bend area when he was 16 years old. He married Dixie (Hawk) Hall in South Bend on April 1, 1950. He is survived by Dixie his wife with whom he just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Also surviving are two daughters, Pamela (Neal) Petermann of Mishawaka, SuzAnna (Rick) Schaphorst of Mishawaka; two sons, Stephen (Jeanette) Hall of South Bend and Jeffrey (Melissa) Hall of Mendon, MI, 11 grandchildren, Bryan (Angie) Hall, Rachel (Joseph) Rodick, Jason (Jennifer) Petermann, Jeffrey (Jessica) Petermann, Joddi (Adam) Quam, Kelly (Michael) Weiss, Rikki Schaphorst, Austin Hall, Ethan Hall and Alexa Hall, Katie (Chris) McCormick; 18 great-grandchildren; Chloe and Stella Hall, Joseph Rodick Jr., Josiah, Joshua, Jenalyn, Jaidyn, Ayden and Avery Petermann, Jordan (Daniel) Mains, Dominic Esposito, Taelor Johnson, Zoie Quam, Layla and Magnolia Weiss, Brieanna, Chance and Tyler McCormick; and a brother, Elton Hall of Winchester, TN. Thomas was preceded in death by his father, Auburn Hall, and his mother, Montie Wilson; a sister, Joyce McCune, a brother John Hall and granddaughters, Jennifer Petermann, Gretchen Hall and a great granddaughter Mayzie Weiss. He was a Bricklayer for 25 years and a member of Local #18 and also owned Tom E. Hall Insurance for 30 years. Tom was a member of Twin Branch Bible Church for 52 years where he served as elder, deacon, trustee and Sunday school superintendant. He also had a nursing home ministry. Tom was an active member of The Gideons, handing out Bibles at numerous locations including area high schools, colleges and area jails. Friends may visit with the family from 3-7 p.m. today, June 3, 2010, in the Bubb Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will be held at Twin Branch Bible Church at 10:30 a.m. Friday, with visitation from 9:30 until time of services. Pastor Daniel Boes will be officiating and Jason Petermann assisting. Donations may be made to The Gideons or to the Twin Branch Bible Church.
