Garfield Hamilton

SOUTH BEND - Garfield ''Willie'' Hamilton,
73, of Corby Boulevard, died at 11:45 a.m. Tuesday in his home
after an illness. Mr. Hamilton retired from Rieth-Riley
Construction Co. He was born April 22, 1922, in Gary and lived in
South Bend for 65 years, coming from Gary.
On June 11, 1954, in South Bend, he married
Marie Turner. She survives with two daughters, Anna Marie
Hamilton of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Judy Gayle Wright
of Jacksonville, Fla.; three sons, Garfield Jr. of Seattle, Gary
M. of Hollywood, Fla., and Willis of South Bend; six
grandchildren; two sisters, Beulah Green of South Bend and
Geneva Davis of Niles; and a brother, Eddie of South Bend.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in
Pentacostal Church of God in Christ. Burial will be in Highland
Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in Alford's
Mortuary.
